Discount an existing subscription
A discount on an existing subscription changes the concrete agreement's upcoming calculations. It does not change the plan catalogue price and is different from a discount code for new self-service purchases.

A discount on an existing subscription changes the concrete agreement’s upcoming calculations. It does not change the plan catalogue price and is different from a discount code for new self-service purchases.
Create the discount
Open the subscription actions, choose discount, and select a percentage or fixed amount. Enter a fixed amount in the smallest unit of the relevant currency. Optionally enter an end date or duration, then review the upcoming price before saving.
The discount appears in future calculations and invoice lines while the period is not locked. An invoice already created or paid is not rewritten by a new discount. If it should begin next period, it can remain as a scheduled change and be followed on the subscription.
API users should use the public subscription reference and send a discount compatible with the pricing model. A discount on one agreement does not change another customer’s subscription.
Why does the customer see a different first-period amount? A partial period may have a prorated adjustment while the discount applies to the upcoming agreement.
How do I remove a scheduled discount? Open the subscription’s scheduled changes and cancel it before invoicing locks it.
