Introductory offer, trial, and the later regular price
An introductory offer gave new subscriptions a lower price for a set number of whole months, after which the subscription moved to the plan's regular price. It was a plan setting and was different from a discount on an existing subscription, a special price on a payment link, or a discount code.
Historical retrospective - June–July 2026
This article was written afterwards and describes the feature as it worked during the stated period.
An introductory offer gave new subscriptions a lower price for a set number of whole months, after which the subscription moved to the plan’s regular price. It was a plan setting and was different from a discount on an existing subscription, a special price on a payment link, or a discount code.
Configure the offer
Open the plan settings, choose the introductory offer, and enter its name, whole-number percentage, and duration in months. Review a new checkout purchase with fictional amounts. If the subscription also has a trial, the trial comes first; the introductory price then applies for the selected period before the regular price begins.
The invoice should show the discount alongside the price it covers. An introductory price does not change existing subscriptions and does not change the plan’s regular catalogue price after it ends.
Discount codes for new purchases are separate. A payment link can also have an individual price. Combination rules depend on the pricing model and current checkout, so do not present two discounts as combinable without checking the flow.
Does the introductory offer start after the trial? Yes, when both are configured, the trial comes first.
Does it change existing customers? No, the offer applies to new purchases after setup.
