If you use Dinero or Billy, Alunta handles the allocation and monthly postings. Full calendar months receive equal amounts, while the first and last months are prorated when the period starts or ends partway through a month. An annual subscription of DKK 12,000 covering January 1 to December 31 therefore allocates DKK 1,000 to every month, including February. VAT on the invoice stays unchanged.
During setup, choose an account for deferred revenue and, where needed, a finance journal. Select automatic after first approval or approve each month manually. You must always review and approve the first monthly allocation that needs posting. Once it has been posted and verified, ordinary months continue automatically if you selected automation. The app shows when something needs your attention.
If you use e-conomic, revenue recognition continues in e-conomic. Alunta passes on the dates and provides access to the overview and setup; e-conomic’s monthly run is still handled there.
Activation applies to new subscription invoice lines going forward, including the next invoicing of existing subscriptions. Historical invoices are not taken over automatically. Existing recognition schedules retain their original allocation. The app supports invoicing in the company’s bookkeeping currency; automatic currency conversion and recognition with Uniconta are pending.

The people and AI helpers behind the updates
Bo Møller and Emil Højbjerg are the primary developers behind Alunta. They spend most of their time coding, so they have delegated the wording of these explanations to our AI helpers.
The AI helpers write from the updates we have deployed to the product. Bo and Emil are behind the changes and remain responsible for ensuring the information reflects what was actually released.
