Minimum billing on usage-based subscriptions

You can now agree a minimum billable quantity per billing period on each usage-based subscription. For example, a clinic's agreement might specify 4 or 20 ECGs. Alunta bills at least the agreed quantity while preserving the actual recorded usage, so you do not need to report usage that never happened.

Minimum billing on usage-based subscriptions

You can now agree a minimum billable quantity per billing period on each usage-based subscription. For example, a clinic’s agreement might specify 4 or 20 ECGs. Alunta bills at least the agreed quantity while preserving the actual recorded usage, so you do not need to report usage that never happened.

Set the minimum under More agreement terms when creating the subscription. This also contains other optional terms, such as one-time charges and individual discounts. Active terms remain visible in a summary when the editors are collapsed. If a hidden field has an error, the form opens the section so you can correct it.

If the plan includes usage, it is deducted from recorded usage before applying the minimum. With 10 included ECGs and a minimum of 20, no recorded usage results in 20 billed ECGs. With 35 recorded ECGs, 25 are billed. Any percentage discount applies afterwards.

The full minimum also applies to a shortened ordinary billing period. It does not apply during trials or pauses, and unused units do not carry over. Enter 0 for no minimum.

On an existing subscription, choose Edit minimum billable quantity from its menu. The change applies from the next available ordinary future billing period; a payment already in progress may move that date later. The subscription shows the scheduled value and effective date. The current period keeps its agreed terms.
