The subscription confirmation is sent again
When you create a subscription for a customer yourself, the customer can now again get a subscription confirmation by email with the subscription, start date, price, renewal and any notice period. It had not been sent for a while, even though it showed as switched on under Settings > Customer emails.
When you create a subscription for a customer yourself, the customer can now again get a subscription confirmation by email with the subscription, start date, price, renewal and any notice period. It had not been sent for a while, even though it showed as switched on under Settings > Customer emails.
Under Create subscription there is now a choice, “Send subscription confirmation to the customer”, when the email is switched on in your settings. Tick it and the customer gets the confirmation. It is not ticked in advance, so customers you move over from another system do not get a welcome email. A bundle gets one confirmation listing each subscription.
The confirmation does not include an invoice. The first invoice arrives as its own email, as before. No confirmation is sent for a subscription that started before today, so you can register existing agreements without the customer being emailed about them. Checkout purchases still get the order confirmation instead.
If you create subscriptions through the API, send send_confirmation: true on POST /v1/subscriptions or POST /v1/customers/{uuid}/subscription-bundles to send the confirmation.

The people and AI helpers behind the updates
Bo Møller and Emil Højbjerg are the primary developers behind Alunta. They spend most of their time coding, so they have delegated the wording of these explanations to our AI helpers.
The AI helpers write from the updates we have deployed to the product. Bo and Emil are behind the changes and remain responsible for ensuring the information reflects what was actually released.
