Portrait of Emil Højbjerg

Emil Højbjerg

Co-founder & CTO 20 years of experience

Emil is co-founder and CTO of Alunta. With 20+ years in software, subscription systems and business development — including as co-founder of EasyPractice, sold for DKK 100M+ — he leads Alunta's engineering.

Emil is co-founder and CTO of Alunta and responsible for the technical development of the platform.

He studied information science and economics at Aarhus University from 2006 and has since worked with software across a wide range of roles. Early in his career he was part of a Danish web agency, where he built solutions in Python, PHP and C# for large Danish companies and public institutions — and where he first began working with subscription systems, a through-line of his career ever since.

Together with Bo Møller, Emil co-founded the SaaS company EasyPractice, which they grew and eventually sold for over DKK 100M to a publicly listed Norwegian company. Today Emil is a co-founder of Alunta and co-owner of Langsom.com ApS, which owns Alunta.com, Boligforeningsweb.dk, IDguard.dk and PingPuffin.com. Together with Oliver and Bo he is also behind Dansk Tech Stack, a public overview of Danish alternatives to American software.

Emil’s skills span programming, system architecture, business and communication — a combination he has developed through 10+ years of building and operating subscription businesses, both for external clients and in his own companies.
