Try payments and bookkeeping before you go live
In a test account you can now try the whole chain of card payment and bookkeeping without moving real money.
In a test account you can now try the whole chain of card payment and bookkeeping without moving real money.
- Stripe in test mode: Connect Stripe under Apps. In a test account the connection is always made in Stripe’s test mode, so you can pay with Stripe’s test cards, for example 4242 4242 4242 4242.
- A test company in your accounting system: Connect e-conomic, Dinero, Billy or Uniconta once you have confirmed it is a test company. The test account’s invoices and payments are booked there, so you can follow everything from card payment to booked payment.
- API and webhooks: Create an API token in the test account and run your integration against it, just as you would against a production account.
To create a test account, choose Create test account in the account menu. When you are ready, convert the test account to a production account. Test data and saved test cards are deleted, and Stripe in test mode and the test company are disconnected, so you can connect your real ones.
If you have set OnPay to test mode on a production account, payments that OnPay itself reports as test payments are now marked Test payment and are not booked in your accounting system.

The people and AI helpers behind the updates
Bo Møller and Emil Højbjerg are the primary developers behind Alunta. They spend most of their time coding, so they have delegated the wording of these explanations to our AI helpers.
The AI helpers write from the updates we have deployed to the product. Bo and Emil are behind the changes and remain responsible for ensuring the information reflects what was actually released.
