Credit any invoice - line by line

Until now, “Revert period” on a subscription was the only way to create a credit note. It didn’t cover one-off invoices, and if a subscription invoice also carried one-off charges (like a bundle setup fee), those charges quietly stayed uncredited when the period was reverted. There’s now a single flow that works for every invoice.

What’s new

• The credit action lives on the invoice itself. Open the dropdown next to an invoice under Invoices (or on a customer’s Invoices tab) and pick “Credit invoice”.
• You pick which lines to credit and can enter a partial amount per line. It works for one-off invoices, subscription invoices and mixed invoices that have both period and one-off lines.
• Lines that are already fully credited are hidden or marked, so you can’t accidentally double-credit them.
• If the invoice was paid by card (Stripe or OnPay), you can flip “Refund payment to customer” on. We refund exactly the amount you credit (incl. VAT) at the payment provider in the same step. If the refund fails at the provider, no credit note is created - you avoid ending up with a credit note that has no corresponding cash movement.
• For subscription period lines, the credit is still recorded as a period cancellation behind the scenes, so the subscription’s billing state stays accurate.

What’s gone

• The “Revert period” button on subscriptions has been replaced by a “Credit invoice” link that takes you to the customer’s invoices, where you credit the specific invoice. Same outcome - just via the invoice instead of the period.
