More time to resolve a failed payment before automatic ending

With Retry, then end the subscription, a subscription now ends no earlier than its payment deadline and at least 48 hours after the first failure message sent to the customer. If you or the customer deliberately opted out of these emails, the agreed deadline applies instead. If an email is expected but cannot be sent, automatic ending is held.

Under Card payments failing, you can see why an ending is waiting or when it can happen at the earliest. Use the existing Send message and Resolve actions to handle the case.

Automatic endings run only during the 08:00 or 16:00 hour in your business’s timezone. End after a confirmed payment failure still has no extra retry grace. Your manual Resolve choices continue to take effect immediately. The payment deadline stays the same, and payment or a new card is checked again before a waiting ending is carried out.

The people and AI helpers behind the updates

Bo Møller and Emil Højbjerg are the primary developers behind Alunta. They spend most of their time coding, so they have delegated the wording of these explanations to our AI helpers.

The AI helpers write from the updates we have deployed to the product. Bo and Emil are behind the changes and remain responsible for ensuring the information reflects what was actually released.
