Tiered pricing

The customer grows. Your pricing model can keep up.

A small team and a large business do not always get the same value from your product. With tiered pricing in Alunta, you can bring price tiers together and let reported figures find the right one. Growth becomes part of the model instead of a new manual task.

An example
Alunta

A price tier that fits the customer’s size

Illustrative fixed monthly tiers

1–5 users
DKK 500
6–20 users
DKK 1,200
Customer’s reported quantity
12 users
Relevant fixed monthly priceDKK 1,200

Excluding VAT. The example shows one fixed price for the selected tier, not 12 times a per-unit price.

More price tiers. One engine to keep them together.

You define the tiers and the parameters the price should follow. Alunta uses reported figures to assess the subscription’s tier. This lets you sell according to customer size and usage without checking an export for every subscription.

Your tiers

Give different tiers their own prices and thresholds.

Your parameters

Include a reported quantity in the assessment, for example.

A clear next step

Follow the current tier and planned changes on the agreement.

From agreement to action

From five users to a team of twelve.

The customer uses more of your product. The price tier needs to keep up without becoming a loose note for the sales team.

  1. Make the tiers clear.

Build a model customers can understand and your team can explain. A good tier describes both the price and the value it includes.

  2. Connect the model to reality.

Report relevant parameters manually or through the API. Alunta then has the information it needs to find the tier that fits the customer’s figures.

  3. Give the change a proper flow.

Upgrades can follow the selected billing, while downgrades can take effect in an upcoming period. Follow the change alongside the subscription.

Useful questions

Before you choose your workflow.

Is a tier the same as a price per user?

Not necessarily. A tier can have a fixed price, while a licence plan usually bills for a quantity. Choose the model that fits what the customer is buying.

Do downgrades always take effect immediately?

No. Downgrades follow an upcoming billing period that is not locked. Upgrades and any adjustments follow the selected model. You can see the specific flow on the subscription.
