A new module, Installments, lets your customers pay a subscription in several installments instead of one lump sum.

How it works

Enable Installments under Apps & integrations. When the module is active you can choose the number of installments when adding a subscription to a customer - for example a yearly subscription paid in 3 installments.

You also choose how the installments are distributed:

• At the start of the period - installments are charged monthly from the beginning of the period.
• Spread across the whole period - installments are distributed evenly across the period.

Each installment becomes its own invoice

Each installment is charged or invoiced on its own due date within the period, and becomes its own invoice. The rest of the period stays one service period, so renewal happens as usual - the customer simply pays in installments.

It works with both card and invoice, and you can always change or turn off installments on an existing subscription.

Bundles now follow subscription trials

When a customer buys a bundle, each subscription in the bundle is now created as a regular subscription with its own trial, invoicing, and renewal rules.

That means a bundle containing subscriptions with trials no longer invoices those subscriptions immediately. If part of the purchase will be invoiced later, Alunta sends an order confirmation so the customer can see what was purchased before the invoice arrives.
