Payment reminders: Follow up on unpaid invoices and failed card payments

The new Payment reminders app brings your payment follow-up into one place. An owner or administrator turns it on under Apps & integrations, after which it gets its own item under Settings.

Every week or every other week, on Tuesdays at 10:00, Alunta prepares a proposal with the customers who should get a reminder. The person you make responsible gets an email when there is something to review. Leave out individual customers, pause them, and approve the rest in one click. Right before sending, we check the payment again and hold back anything uncertain.

Invoice reminders. Choose recurring reminders or a flow with Reminder 1, 2 and 3. You decide which reminders need approval before they are sent. No fourth reminder is sent after the third, and invoices that are still unpaid are shown for manual follow-up. Invoice checks currently support e-conomic and invoices in DKK.

Automatic card follow-up. For DKK subscriptions on Stripe or QuickPay, Alunta can follow up on days 3 and 7 after a confirmed payment failure if the plan allows it. The email links to the subscription in the customer portal, where the customer can update their card.

Reminders are sent in your name, and you edit the texts under Customer emails in Danish and English. Payment reminders do not add fees or interest and do not send cases to debt collection.

Will customers get two reminders? Check whether your accounting system or payment provider sends its own reminders. Those are managed separately from Alunta.

The people and AI helpers behind the updates

Bo Møller and Emil Højbjerg are the primary developers behind Alunta. They spend most of their time coding, so they have delegated the wording of these explanations to our AI helpers.

The AI helpers write from the updates we have deployed to the product. Bo and Emil are behind the changes and remain responsible for ensuring the information reflects what was actually released.
